SBC to present Women Entrepreneurs' Speaker Series Sept. 5

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018) -- Waukesha County Technical College’s Small Business Center will present the fall Women Entrepreneurs’ Speaker Series (WESS) event, The GreatPlate Story, on Wed., Sept. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the College’s Q Building, room Q-361.

The event will features keynote speaker Beth Kuehl, co-founder of GreatPlate, a product designed to serve as a both a plate and beverage holder that’s perfect to carry in one hand at picnics, parties, tailgating and other events. Since the company began, the product line has expanded to include additional items for home and outdoor use. In addition, Kuehl has nearly 40 years’ experience in the mortgage business, having worked as a loan originator and branch manager for two offices.

In her presentation, Kuehl will talk about the company’s beginnings, its dedication to making products in the USA – specifically, Wisconsin -- its impact on the local economy, along with business victories and challenges.

Rhonda Noordyk, founder of the Women’s Financial Wellness Center, will provide the welcome address at the WESS event.

Those in attendance will also have opportunities to network with other business professionals at the event.
