Small Business Center to offer winter, spring classes -- register now!

SMALL BIZ SPRING

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023) – Waukesha County Technical College’s Small Business Center (SBC) is offering a variety of noncredit workshops and courses this winter and spring designed for small business owners and entrepreneurs to help them achieve success in new and existing ventures.

Winter and spring classes, which start in January, will cover topics such as start-up basics, business planning, accounting/taxes, marketing/sales and more. 

Among the classes offered, include:

  •  FaSTart Workshop
  •  Business Plan Development
  •  QuickBooks Online
  •  Organize Business Finances
  • Small Business Insurance
  • Marketing Mastermind – and more!

Additionally, the SBC continues to offer the Small Business Certificate program. Participants attend eight specific courses to obtain the certificate; earn a $335 scholarship; gain free chamber membership, which gives certificate recipients the opportunity to experience the benefits of local chamber membership at no cost for one year; and access to the Micro Seed Fund, which is a low-interest, unsecured loan up to $5,000.

The SBC also offers free, one-on-one coaching to small business owners to assist with navigating the complexities of the business world, as well as access to a network of business professionals who provide guidance on business practices.
