Thank you, board members Patricia Deklotz, Jim Riley

One new member joins board, and one begins second term

The WCTC community would like to extend its appreciation to WCTC District Board members Jim Riley and Patricia Deklotz, Ph.D., for their support of technical education and service to the College. Both members’ terms expire June 30.

Deklotz, superintendent of the Kettle Moraine School District, has been a member since 2011 and served in the role of chairperson, while Riley, senior vice president and manager of commercial real estate lending for Waukesha State Bank, has been a board member since 2008 and has served as chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary/treasurer. Deklotz served in the school district administrator category and Riley represented the employer category.

Board member Alan Karch, whose term also ends June 30, has chosen to serve a third three-year term. He is the current vice-chairperson and represents the employer category; he is the manufacturing plant manager at Bruno Independent Living Aids.

The appointment of Karch, and a new board member – Joe Garza, superintendent of the School District of New Berlin, was approved in May at the Wisconsin Technical College System State Board meeting. Garza will fill the role vacated by Deklotz. The new board term begins July 1 and runs through June 2021.
