PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Tuesday, March 21, 2023) – Earlier in 2023, Waukesha County Technical College kicked off a yearlong celebration to mark its 100th anniversary, with special events held for students, faculty and staff. Starting in April, WCTC will hold several activities designed to engage the greater Waukesha County community and celebrate the College as a leader in workforce development.

“WCTC’s 100th anniversary is a significant milestone, and the residents of Waukesha County and surrounding communities are one of the key reasons for the College’s success,” said Richard Barnhouse, Ph.D., president of WCTC. “They are our partners, supporters, students – and families of students – and we welcome them to participate in our upcoming special events planned throughout the year. The College’s centennial is a celebration for the community as a whole.”

*Upcoming events that are open to the public, include:

  • Saturday, April 22 – Earth Day Campus and Community Cleanup Event: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with optional WCTC campus tour to follow

Volunteer groups of all sized are encouraged to attend – individuals, families, friends, school/community groups, scout troops and more! Participants will receive an event t-shirt, light breakfast and lunch, along with all supplies needed to help with the cleanup effort.
