WCTC to host economic summit Oct. 24

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018) –Waukesha County Technical College will host an economic summit on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Richard T. Anderson Education Center at WCTC’s main Pewaukee campus.

The event, Deficits, Division and Dysfunction: A Conversation with Paul Stebbins, will focus on the current perilous fiscal and political environment. Stebbins, who is chair emeritus of World Fuel Services Corporation, will discuss how trillion dollar deficits are set to return within the next two years, along with the already record high national debt set to skyrocket over the coming decade. Stebbins has been involved with the Campaign to Fix the Debt, a nonpartisan movement designed to put America on a better fiscal and economic path, and he is active with the campaign’s political reform efforts.

A question and answer period will follow the discussion.

The summit is free, but online registration is recommended
